Walking among the cacao plantations

La Isabela farm

Behind the extensive cassava and lemon plantations that grow under the tropical sun, Ayda and Eloísa grow cocoa in their family farm: "La Isabela." For Ayda and Eloísa greeting those who visit is a celebration. Their contagious smiles welcome visitors, who in minutes feel the familiar atmosphere.

We invite you to explore our beautiful Hacienda Bambusa on foot or bike accompanied by an expert guide, until you meet the contagious and kind smile of our hostesses. Learn about the artisan fermentation and drying process of cocoa, through which the beans harvested on the farm are ready for export and begin the journey to be transformed into chocolate.

When finished, Ayda and Eloísa will have arranged a nice spot in their house, with refreshing drinks and other delicacies prepared by themselves.

Speaking of delicious! How about ending this especial tour with an outdoor lunch under the shade of the impressive saman tree that shades the house?
