Cocoa Plantation Tour

Behind cassava and lemon plantations, Ayda and Eloísa grow cacao on their family farm, La Isabela, passed down through generations. Their warm smiles make every visitor feel at home.

Explore Hacienda Bambusa on foot or bike with a guide, and meet your hosts to learn about the farm’s artisanal cocoa fermentation and drying process, preparing beans for export.

After the tour, enjoy refreshing drinks and homemade treats at Ayda and Eloísa’s home. Cap off the experience with a delicious outdoor lunch under the majestic saman tree.

Suggested Itinerary

10:00 a.m. - Your personal guide will greet you at the hotel to begin your tailored experience.

10:00 to 10:15 a.m. - Pass the hotel's own vegetable garden at the beginning of the tour. Here, we grow exotic fruits, aromatic herbs and legumes which are used in our restaurant.

10:15 to 10:45 a.m. - Hike through the Hacienda's plantations, including yuca and lemon, and discovering different fruits and plants until you arrive at La Isabela farm.

10:45 to 11:15 a.m. - Upon arrival, explore the cacao plantations. Discover how it is grown an harvest and meet the owners of La Isabela.

11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Hike back to the hotel.
