Immerse on a huge hacienda hides a house built out of bamboo and clay, conserving the traditional architecture style of the Colombian Coffee Region. Surrounded by the enormous mountains of our Central Andes Mountain, centenary trees, gardens and farms; it’s an oasis of peace and natural beauty. The house was adapted six years ago to receive its guests and has consolidated as the ideal destiny for international travelers in the Quindío.

How to arrive by plane:

The Armenia’s airport (AXM) is the closest airport; it’s only 30 minutes away from Hacienda Bambusa. Direct Flights can be found from, Bogota, Medellin, Fort Lauderdale (Florida, USA) and Panama.

From Bogota, the easiest way to reach Hacienda Bambusa would be flying on a direct on a 35 minute flight operated by Avianca (www.avianca.com). We can organize private transportation from the Armenia’s airport to our property.

Driving from Pereira’s airport to Bambusa takes around 2 hours. The international airport of Cali is located 3 hours away from Bambusa and it is the biggest international airport nearby, with flights from Lima, Miami and other destinations.

From Medellin, ADA the local airline (www.ada-aero.com), offers direct flights from Medellin to Armenia. As an alternative, Avianca offers a flight from Medellin to Armenia with a connecting flight in Bogota. (Feel free to contact us in case you need help booking this flight).

How to arrive by car:

GPS are usually NOT accurate on how to get to Hacienda Bambusa. From Armenia, the drive takes around 45 minutes.

From Armenia city, the drive takes around 45min.

Driving from Bogota requires crossing the Andes on a busy mountain road and might take up to 7 hours.

From Medellin, driving would take you around 5 to 6 hours through a scenic road.
